10 Luglio 2025

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and Confindustria have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to support Italian companies operating or seeking to operate in China, as well as to promoting bilateral economic relations.

Signed by CICC Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi and Confindustria Vice President for Export and Investment Attraction Barbara Cimmino, the agreement focuses on the promotion of trade, industrial collaboration, and the internationalization of Italian businesses in China and the Asia-Pacific region.

CICC and Confindustria will implement joint initiatives, including business delegations, promotional activities, and information sharing, in coordination with relevant stakeholders and supporting the international growth of Italian enterprises. This cooperation contributes to the broader objective of enhancing the competitiveness and global presence of the Italian business system.

Previously, the two organizations collaborated on the business roundtable “Italy Investing in China: Trends and Perspectives”, held in Beijing during the state visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The event, attended by both CICC Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi and Confindustria vice-president Barbara Cimmino, brought together key stakeholders to discuss opportunities for Italian investment in China, further consolidating the strategic dialogue between institutions and businesses.
