China intends to secure its place in the global hierarchy as it moves from an economy dominated by manufacturing and exports to an economy driven by technology and services. This year the 20th National Congress of the CCP will be held. The country will continue to focus on socio-economic reform, following its long-term political and regulatory priorities. The “two sessions”, which opened in March, will define the political framework that China will adopt throughout the year.
